![]() ![]() ![]() (Bought it used, from another state) I have no-till planted with it and it does a good job, oddly enough because of the heavier downforce springs it actually tries to push the row units down too far in soft tilled soil. Is "plough" how it's spelled in EU or something? Even where I am though no-till is rare, however the planter I own is actually a JD one designed for it. ![]() Is "plough" how it's spelled in EU or something? I suppose in short, the previous post was relaying a bit of disappointment that not a single no till planter is offered in vanilla. Great plains planters are much less common here (I suspect they're more common on the western side of the MW), both manufactures are offered in game. On the flip side most of the farmers in the surrounding counties have no till corn planters, JD seems most common. However that's not to say brands like Horsch, Vaderstad or Lemken don't offer no-till planers as standard, I just wasn't able to find any examples.Ī few valid points there! I live in the states (eastern side of the midwest) & didn't realize no till is rare in EU. After doing a bit of research, those that are offered are either from other manufactures that are not in-game (Giants would need a licence to include them) or exist as a after market kit either by the manufacturer or a third party manufacturer (Again, another licence would be required). If you live in europe, no-till planters are a rarity. If you're state side, no-till planters are pretty common. The options provided aren't really up to par with modern methods commonly used & it seems Giants vanilla it trying to anchor us back to 2009. Most of the larger scale farmers in my neck of the woods are largely no till & don't even own a plough any more. If you use mods the Great Plains planter is available from modhub with a no till option.Īs Usedfireball mentioned it is capable of no till IRL (if immersion is a concern). The Tatra semi mentioned earlier pulls it just fine. ![]() If you have plowing turned on & plan on sticking with corn you may want to consider the 8M subsoiler. If you plan to have pigs or cows you can add the tanker & is a good way to utilize slurry, by cultivating & fert in one pass. It's inexpensive to lease for a couple harvests until the larger disc can be purchased. The Zunhammer is a good option in early game for planter crops. You wont be able to utilize semis with the pto, without the 3 point adapter. The Zunhammer (in slurry tab) will require a 3 point hitch. I prefer the Tatra brand it's more stable pulling equip at high speed than the Man. Another option is the semis with a pto (both non-lizard brands) pull it fine too. they tend to start a little slower than if using the recommended 400 hp but get up to working speed fairly quickly. NH T7 (top engine option), Deutz (also top engine option/336 hp) etc. The suggestions are both vanilla.Ī bit more about the has worked ok with a few of the large tractors on the smaller side of the scale, i.e. I'm sorry for not mentioning it was a disc, instead of a cultivator. Thank you SIR Ferrus for helping out before I got a chance to clarify : ) The Lemken one is a disc harrow, you can find it in the disk section Are they DLC, Mods? ThanksĬant speak for the Zunhammer one, not really sure which one he's referring to.
